Storage & Display |
Guitars are an investment so it makes good sense to store, protect and display them in the best possible way. Guitar stands and hangers are great while you are playing but are not ideal for storage. Keeping them hidden away in carry cases just to protect them is difficult and inconvenient. Imagine eliminating the clutter of numerous guitar carry cases.
It’s very important for a guitar player to see their guitars. It’s part of the muse and inspiration that guitar players crave, love and want to be surrounded with. With Access N Sight guitar display cases, guitars can be stored and cared for in the least amount of space, dust free. Storing many guitars in one cabinet where you play is very convenient, especially while you are playing. Guitars stay tuned longer as a result of airtight storage. This is also great for guitars that you want to keep in different tunings.

Wood |
We use only the finest select hardwoods and offer our cases in red oak, white oak, white oak quarter sawn, ash, walnut, cherry and maple. Finely sanded hardwood with clear finish looks naturally beautiful, so each piece is truly unique. Over time, light will enhance the wood, creating deeper richer colors. This is why most antiques look so beautiful. (To view our wood selection, go to the Wood Options page).

Finish |
We use a clear, non-toxic satin lacquer finish that dries very hard and looks great. This finish is definitely superior quality. It preserves and enhances the natural beauty of hardwood. We sand our cases very smooth and then finish the wood in its natural state. Sorry, we do not offer stains.

Hardware |
We use strong brass hinges for our case doors. The latches and inside catch are beautiful brass and go well with the hinges and knobs. The locks used are strong cast metal with a brass finish on the outside. Two keys are included.
| Glass |
All of the glass in the sides and doors of each case is ¼″ laminated safety glass. This glass provides 90% UV protection. The top is ⅜″ tempered safety glass. All glass used is shatter proof and extremely strong! Glass used for all of our guitar display cases meet or exceeds industry safety standards. Because our cases have a great deal of glass, the inside will light up very nicely with a light placed on top or above, or a floor lamp placed on one or both sides.

Interior Upholstery |
The interior (back and bottom) of each Guitar Collection Case is lined with very soft fur. Guitars rest on 3 and 4-inch cushions that tilt them back. Headstocks rest on a padded back wall. Guitars are separated by soft dividers that are interchangeable depending on the needs of your collection. The interior (back) of each Guitar Wall Case is lined with thick, rich velvet. Each has a quality guitar hanger inside. Wall cases come with 4 holes for installation, two top and two bottom in the back. These holes have been placed 16″ apart to line up with wall studs. 4 screws (Included) drill into the wall from the inside screw holes in the case. Very strong!

Gauges |
Two small gauges are built-in the inside top back of each case, one thermometer and one hygrometer. They can be viewed without opening the doors.

Humidification |
Each case is precision designed with doors that seal. This seal, along with the temperature and humidity gauges, make it possible to better manage and maintain an environment best suited and essential for guitars. The ideal humidity for guitars is around 49%. When humidity is needed, the small guitar humidifiers provided with each case, properly used, will keep guitars humidified while they are closed in the case. However, keeping a case closed is definitely not an option if we want to play our guitars. During dry times of the year, it is important to maintain the proper humidity for guitars so humidifying the room where the case is being used will assure that the humidity level will not be lost every time the case door is opened. Creating good humidity conditions for our guitars is an individual decision, but having a sealed place to humidify and store guitars, with gauges for monitoring is hard to achieve without a product such as this. Even if you have a hard time maintaining humidity levels where you play guitar, maintaining humidity (when needed) while guitars are stored is better than no humidification at all. Guitars will retain a good amount of humidity while out of the case if properly humidified while being stored in the case. However, it is best for your guitars if you can keep your music area humidified also. Imagine the convenience of humidifying and monitoring three to twelve guitars all at once.

Dehumidification |
Two much humidity can be a problem as much as not enough. If you live where too much humidity is a problem, Access N Sight guitar cases can serve as a layer of protection. Upon request, we will include for our customers tyvec-packaged desiccant packs. Because our guitar cases seal, while closed up the tyvec packs will absorb moisture. As with humidification, even if you have a hard time maintaining humidity levels where you play guitar, dehumidifying (when needed) while guitars are stored is better than no dehumidification at all. However, it is best for your guitars if you can keep your music area dehumidified also.

Humidifiers |
The humidifiers that are included with each case are small containers with a clay-like substance inside. They must be submerged in water until fully absorbed, then closed up. We prefer to place them in the front corners of a Guitar Collection Case and the back corner of a Guitar Wall Case. The humidifiers included with our cases are to provide an initial source of humidification for our customers. They last for quite awhile. Depending on your humidification needs and preferences, you may want to purchase more of the same type of humidifiers, or different types. There are several on the market to choose from. Humidifiers can be purchased from most music stores or on the web. Sometimes humidification may not be needed at all.

Temperature |
A comfortable temperature for humans (65F to 75F) is also good for guitars. Guitars can withstand limited cooler or warmer temperatures but always avoid fast temperature change, especially with acoustic guitars. An Access N Sight guitar case will protect guitars from a sudden temperature change in a room or studio. Because of the seal, temperature change is always gradual inside of the case when the doors are closed.
